   Get To Know Us

At Humility For Humanity, we believe that a life without hope is not a life worth living. Our mission is to restore hope for those experiencing homelessness who may have lost it along their journey.

We recognize that there are basic resources and necessities that all human beings need, and far too many people in our communities are going without them, struggling to survive.

Over time, many of us have become accustomed to seeing unhoused individuals in our communities, to the point where it has become the norm. However, homelessness is not an identity; it is a circumstance.

We have collectively mislabeled them as “homeless people,” when in truth, they are individuals experiencing homelessness.

We should not define anyone by their hardships, especially considering that many are just one paycheck away from facing the same situation.

Too often, society makes generalizations about people experiencing homelessness.

In reality, each story is unique and not always linked to substance abuse.

Many of those navigating homelessness include our veterans, survivors of domestic violence, LGBTQ+ individuals who have been turned away by loved ones, people living with mental health challenges, children escaping abuse, and those who have chosen to live in their cars or in nature instead of traditional housing.

None of these circumstances makes a person any less

deserving of dignity, respect, and empathy.

Let’s work together to uplift, support, and restore faith in humanity.

The Heart Behind It All
